New European network of lesbian, women’s, gender, feminist archives and libraries

The latest info on this board is from 2020. That time we informed you about an initiative by the German speaking umbrella organisation i.d.a. to constitute a network of European feminist heritage institutions to build an unite research tool to continuously improve access to feminist and women’s knowledge in Europe in order to make women’s history visible and to promote it transnationally.

Up from autumn 2020 over the Corona-time until today we’ve tried to find financial resources for this project. After a backlash in funding sources with the EU-program Horizon (research infrastructure) we are now in the process to apply for the program Erasmus+. During all the time we continuously discussed our steps online in the formats of META-EU- and ConceptGroup-meetings. Meanwhile we are a living network with libraries and archives from 12 European countries.

We know that our future goal can only succeed as a joint project. That’s why we use this “old” forum to reach institutions that are not yet part of our current network.
